The Swaminarayan Hindu faith in Woolwich began, some, 30 years ago held at the homes of devotees, moving to community halls as the congregation grew. A permanent site was eventually found and renovated for inauguration in August 1988.
3 years ago, SKSS Temple Woolwich embarked on an ambitious journey to build a bigger Mandir to welcome the growing number of devotees and to create a shared space for the community to host activities.
The local community and congregation have been the backbone of this project, and we are delighted to announce that the new Mandir will be ready to reopen its doors this August.
We would like to extend an invitation to our devotees across the country and our local neighbours to the 9 day celebration that will take place from August 5th to 13th and we would be honoured to have you share the experience with us.
